Amino teams with beeTV for recommendation

09 Sep 09 - IPTV set-top box vendor Amino has partnered with recommendation specialist beeTV to develop a recommendation-based personalised TV solution via Amino’s set-tops.

BeeTV’s Personal Content Channel (PCC) uses a set of proprietary contextual recommendation algorithms that identify viewers’ habits, tastes and viewing history. The PCC, which sits on the set-top box, gathers suitable recommendations from content sources including broadcast TV, subscription TV, video-on-demand, PVR and catch-up and pushes it to each individual viewer as a personalised channel.
