UPC Slovakia adds Hungarian channels

15 Mar 10 -

Cable operator UPC Slovakia has added seven Hungarian channels to its digital line-up.

The operator is selling a Hungarian package comprising M2, RTL Klub, TV2, Duna TV, Hír TV, ATV and Viasat 3. Hungary’s M1 is already available in UPC Slovakia’s entry-level and basic packages.

The move takes the total number of channels in UPC’s digital tier to 110. The Hungarian package will be available in all 13 cites where UPC already delivers a digital service. Hungarian speakers comprise about 10% of Slovakia’s population, mostly living in the southern part of the country. UPC Slovakia currently has about 66,000 digital subscribers.
