Tele2 to sell analogue services over UPC and Ziggo networks

15 Mar 10 -

Tele2 Netherlands plans to resell analogue cable TV over the networks of cable operators Ziggo and UPC from June, according to local reports.

Following a recent decision by regulator Opta, the Dutch cable operators are obliged to open up their analogue networks to competitors. Tele2 already delivers a digital TV service over its own network, but analogue cable remains the primary delivery system for second and third TVs in the households it serves.
