Optimus Clix doubles time-shift TV usage

25 Jun 10 -

Portuguese IPTV provider Optimus Clix has doubled the usage of its time-shift TV services in the first five months of this year.

The service, which uses the Espial MediaBase platform for on-demand services over its ADSL and fibre networks, delivers over 150 broadcast channels and 3,000 video-on-demand assets to its subscriber base, as well as subscription VOD, games and social networking applications. The operator also uses the Espial platform to deliver a restart service, allowing viewers to watch programmes from the beginning if they switch on the TV late.
