Comedy Central Israel to launch

MTV Networks International has announced that an Israeli version of the Comedy Central channel will launch at the start of next year.

Comedy Central Israel, which will become the tenth localised Comedy Central service, is being launched in partnership with local media company Ananey Communications, and will be available via cable operator, Hot from January 1.

The channel, which is targeted at a core audience of 18-34 year olds, will be a fully localised, Hebrew-language channel, available to over 1.3 million TV households at launch. The channel will broadcast a mixture of international and local comedy programming.
