Ginx TV to launch block on Zee Trendz

London-based international gaming broadcaster Ginx TV is to launch a branded block on Indian channel Zee Trendz after striking a deal with the major Indian broadcast group.

The channel, which was set up by former MTV Networks Europe boss and chairman of Nickelodeon Michiel Bakker, will produce a raft of video game inspired programming for the channel, which reaches over 25 million households in India across cable and satellite platforms.
”We are delighted to be working with Zee to expand the Ginx footprint into the vibrant Indian TV market,” said Bakker. “Zee Network is quick off the mark to see the potential of gaming on TV and we at Ginx are very excited about becoming part of the programming line-up of Zee Trendz.”
The channel is currently available in Romania, Israel, Spain and South Africa and is expected to launch in the UK in the coming months.
