Hopster launches in US

Hopster logoKids on-demand edutainment service Hopster is launching in the US with a new look and a line-up of US kids shows.

Hopster is launching in the US with a catalogue of newly-acquired shows and music including segments introducing viewers to NAACP and Emmy award winner Reading Rainbow with LeVar Burton, and Monster Math Squad and Franny’s Feet, from DHX media.

Anew music area will house Super Simple Songs and Chris Ballew’s music video series, Caspar Babypants.

Hopster in the US will also carry a suite of educational games, created around the proprietary Hopster curriculum and built according to the US NAEYC guidelines, according to the company.

The service will be available for US$4.99 (€4.44) a month, with content available to stream or download for offline viewing. Hopster will be available exclusively on Apple’s iOS and tvOS paltforms in the US.

Hopster is currently available in 100 countries worldwide since launching on the Apple TV platform last year.

The Hopster app recently underwent a refresh to allow for easier navigation and the creation of eight new ‘adventure locations’. The app features a scrollable 360° experience to facilitate navigation.
