Sportfive secures Olympic deal

Lagardere-owned sports rights company Sportfive has inked a deal for rights to the 2016 Olympic Games across Europe.

The outfit has been awarded the rights for 40 countries excluding France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK, which will deal directly with the International Olympic Committee. This comes after the end of Sportfive’s deal with the European Broadcasting Union to share rights with public broadcasters.
