HBO channels deal with KPN
Dutch pay TV provider KPN has struck a deal with US premium cable network HBO that will see a raft of channels and interactive services available to subscribers.
Customers of KPN’s service that have interactive TV subscriptions, including those through its broadband services Telfort and XS4ALL, will have access to commercial-free, linear channels HBO, HBO2 and HBO3.
The channels will be available in standard definition and high definition and will be available via KPN and XS4ALL later this month and via Telfort in July. Online video service HBO Go and HBO On Demand, the company’s video-on-demand service, will also both be launched. Shows available on the channels include Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, True Blood and Aaron Sorkin’s forthcoming drama The Newsroom.
