Fox to rebrand Finland’s Suomi TV
Fox International Channels is rebranding its recently acquired Finnish free-to-air station Suomi TV as Fox Finland.
The News Corp-backed global channels division will also extend the number of hours that the channel broadcasts from seven to twelve following the move. This comes after Fox International Channels acquired the digital station in January 2011.
The channel will now feature a raft of entertainment series including The Walking Dead, Family Guy and American Dad as well as a number of programmes from Twentieth Century Fox, the best of National Geographic Channel’s factual series and 24Kitchen’s food and lifestyle programming.
“We are very pleased to bring Fox to the Finnish market. Fox has been tremendously successful globally as our flagship general entertainment channel and we’re confident that it will similarly establish FIC in Finland,” said Jesus Perezagua, president, Fox International Channels, Europe.
